The key operational activity of Tropical Dynasty is the packing and processing of products.
Our trucks pick up products from collection centres across all the contracted farmer group locations which is then delivered to the central pack house for further attention implying strict coordination of product arrivals. The same process also applies to individual farmer who are given slots for delivering their products, which is often planned weeks, or even months, in advance. As products arrive they are inspected and weighted.
Afterwards they are sorted carefully to ensure that only products in perfect condition continue to the costumers. Sorting entails product appearance (e.g. color or size), quality (e.g. indicators of taste), freshness and ripeness, and elimination of products with excessive insect attacks. Thereafter, products
are washed and cleansed, and thereafter dried before pack into boxes of various sizes and shapes depending on product type and costumer needs.
Only products from same producer are packed together in each box that are carefully marked with the farmers identification number in order to live up to the EU trace ability standard, ensuring that products can always be traced back to the primary producer as a safety regulation to eliminate further risk if products are contaminated or pose a health problem. Finally, the boxes are placed on wooden pellets and stored until they are later picked up and transported to Entebbe International Airport where they are loaded directly on board major airline carriers.
This is a tight process from farm in Uganda to for kin Europe in which Tropical Dynasty is them a in link between the farmer and the final retailer. Tropical Dynasty knows exact costumer and airline carrier of any products before farmers are finally notified to proceed with harvest and the time span from products are harvested until they are on the shelves in European grocery stores are typically within18-‐36hours.
